Mr. Posthole is a family-owned, locally owned posthole drilling business in Fowlerville, Michigan. Owner Kirk runs the jobs with his sons, Owen and Adam. We drill for homeowners and contractors across seven southeast Michigan counties, year-round, we're insured, and we've taken part in hundreds of projects.
How the crew works
The promise is simple: straight, plumb holes to exact depth, and a yard that looks like we were never there. Here's what a job day looks like.

Ticket first
Kirk files the MISS DIG ticket through his contractor portal. It takes 72 business hours to clear, and we don't drill without clearance.

Heads-up text
Customers mention getting a text the morning we come out.

Mats down
Composite ground protection mats go across the lawn, driveway or sidewalk so the machine can travel and turn without rutting.

Drill to the marks
Each hole goes exactly where it's marked, to the depth you need, with the LED inclinometer keeping it plumb.

Spoils and safety
Spoils stay in the build area or leave the site, your call. Open holes get covered.
The equipment
- · Compact track machine that fits tight spaces beside houses and new concrete
- · 8 auger sizes, 6 to 24 in, drilling up to 10 ft deep
- · An LED inclinometer on every hole
- · Fiberglass composite ground protection mats
- · A concrete mixer that mounts on the front of the mini skid
- · Ground screw installs, with a Bluetooth torque hub and torque reports. Certified by Michigan Ground Screw to install American Ground Screw products.
- · Needs a 42 in gate; fence sections can come out for access
The family
Kirk, Owen and Adam
Kirk is also a Detroit firefighter, so Detroit and Downriver jobs often fit in on his way home.
The family has a second business too: Little Buddy Cleanouts and HaulingComing soon. Junk removal, cleanouts and demo, run by Kirk's son.
