Post Setting

Post setting, plumb and in line

Setting posts is the hardest part of building a fence and a big part of building a deck. You supply the posts; Kirk drills the holes, supplies the concrete and sets each post plumb and in line, and you build. Dig-and-set jobs get a reduced drilling fee plus $50–$90 per post, with a $600 minimum.

How does post setting work?

  1. 01You supply the posts.
  2. 02Kirk drills the holes to the diameter and depth the posts need.
  3. 03We supply the concrete and set each post plumb and in line.
  4. 04You build.

Why hire out post setting?

Posts are where a fence or deck goes right or wrong. If a post leans or sits out of line, every panel, rail and joist after it fights you. Getting them right is slow, careful work.

Replacing an old fence?

Pull the old fence, set the new posts: we remove the old fence and posts, drill the new holes and set the new posts.

Just need the holes?

No problem. Most of our work is drilling: fence and deck postholes, straight, plumb and to depth.
